| Kevin Higley |
Clown/Barrelman
Kevin has been "clowning around" for over 23 years. He received his
Pro card 18 years ago and has been entertaining crowds all over the
Northwest since then. He has had the opportunity of working rodeos
from the Canadian border to the Mexican border and also in Hawaii.
For the first part of his career he fought bulls and performed comedy
acts. At the Wilderness Circuit Finals for 6 years straight - 1985 -
1990 - he was respected by the Bullriders enough for them to vote him
to protect them.
Then, as things go and the years slow you down, Kevin decided to
make a move to just entertaining and being a Barrelman. It was a
good move. Once again, he was called to be the Barrelman at the 1991
and 1993-95 Wilderness Circuit Finals, and the Wrangler Barrelman at
the Dodge National Circuit Finals, 1995 and Columbia River Circuit
Finals in 1996.
Kevin has a lot of original acts and is always trying to come up with
something new, whether it is on the spot or something he has done
over the years. He says that is what keeps him going back to some
places year after year, some of them as many as 11 times. The thing
I like to sell most is, "If you hire me you get me and my enthusiasm
for the whole Rodeo."
Acts include: Hollywood Tex and John; World's Funniest Magic Sonic
Wash: White Lightning - Newest Ford Compact Car; and many filler
acts.
Kevin's main interest is his family, and he believes Rodeo is truly a
family sport and entertainment. Kevin raises young bulls to be sold
to contractors. He also helps out with High School and College
Programs in the area. He owns and operates Circle H. Construction,
Inc. building custom homes. He serves on the Board of Directors of
the Wilderness Circuit as the Contract Representative.
Kevin lives in Hooper, Utah with his wife Tammy and four sons -
Justin, Casey, Trevor and Colton
